Standard Booking Price

The standard booking price includes the following: -All taxes -Utilities (water, gas and electricity) -Internet and Cable TV usage -Towels, bed linen and hair dryer -All apartment amenities and facilities as mentioned on our website pages and in our correspondence. Cleaning cost of 20 euros adds on top of each apartment or room booking.

One child under 2 years stays free of charge for children’s cot/crib in all our apartments/rooms. The maximum number of extra beds in a room is 1. Any type of extra bed or child’s cot/crib is upon request and needs to be confirmed by RIGAAPARTMENT management.

Security Deposit pre-authorisation for Rooms & Apartments

Please be aware a security deposit pre-authorisation of 100 or 200 euros (100 euro per apartment with up to 6 guests; 200 euro per apartment with more than 6 guests) is required upon arrival; this is to cover any additional costs that might be incurred. The deposit can be provided ONLY by credit card at check-in time.

The security deposit pre-authorisation will be released by your credit card’ issuing bank in 3 business days after your check out. Please note, sometimes it could take up to 21 day to be processed. The security deposit pre-authorisation will be released in total if the apartment is in good order, there are no damages and there are no unpaid Minibar or Extra service bills. Any excessive cleaning costs will also be deducted from the security deposit.

Please note, credit card pre-authorisation is a bank hold on the account, it is not a direct payment or money withdraw from your bank account. The security deposit pre-authorisation is not held by “RIGAAPARTMENT”, as we do not charge your credit card.

How To Book

All bookings can be made via our website reservation form. Alternatively you can book using email or by phone. Our friendly receptionists will always be happy to help you with any reservations you wish to make. When you make a reservation you are booking a apartment type (not a specific apartment). Each apartment type includes similar apartments of similar size and equipment, however, interior design can be different.

Reservations can only be taken and confirmed by making an advance payment of 100% of the full reservation amount. This can be paid using debit and credit cards, bank transfer and PayPal. We will process your booking within 24 hours of receiving your request. Please note, your booking is not confirmed until a confirmation email with confirmation number and payment link has been received. Your reservation is guaranteed until midnight on the day of arrival. After that time it will no longer be guaranteed and the room/apartment may be reassigned.

Departure after 11AM is automatically considered as extension of accommodation. Later check-out times may be requested although we may not always be able to accommodate late changes and will depend on availability and on how busy we are. At check-out please place your key set into the “Express checkout” box placed on the “RIGAAPARTMENT GERTRUDA” information board on the ground floor.

Please note that a detailed inspection of the room or apartment is made during check-out cleaning between 11AM and 15PM and we reserve the right to make charges for any damages or breakages found before the room is occupied again. Check-in & Check-out at RIGAAPARTMENT SONADA HOTEL, 129 Gertrudes Street

Guests can arrange to Check-in at RIGAAPARTMENT SONADA HOTEL any time after 3PM. Our friendly 24/7 receptionists will assist you during your check-in, inform you about our facilities and services and explain any local rules and regulations as appropriate.

The balance of the full apartment rental amount is payable on arrival at check-in time. PLEASE NOTE that check-in cannot be completed until full payment and security deposit pre-authorisation for the room or apartment has been received and approved. An apartment key is provided at check-in time after the full rental amount has been settled. The cost of any keys needing replacement will be taken from the security deposit pre-authorisation. During the check-in process our receptionist will provide you with any information which may be required during your stay such as location of near-by shops, good places where you can eat, sights you may like to see, places to go at night, etc. Always ask our receptionist for anything that would make your stay more enjoyable and convenient.

Extending Your Stay

After you have booked your stay with us, you can extend your stay (depending on availability) by simply letting us know before you arrive. If you are already staying with us and you would like to stay longer, please let us know at least 24 hours before your check-out date. We will do our best to accommodate your new plans and this can include relocating you to a similar apartment should this be necessary.

Cancellation Policy for ”Standard rate”

Please carefully read our cancellation policy. Rarely can we make any exceptions to this. Our receptionists are instructed to follow this policy and rules. So to save any misunderstanding we would be grateful if you can observe the following:

  • The total reservation price is charged 30 days before the arrival.
  • If the guest cancels more than 30 days in advance, total amount of the reservation will be refunded.
  • If the guest cancels less than 30 days in advance, the 100% prepayment is non-refundable.
  • If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, the nights not spent 24 hours after the cancellation occurs are 50% refunded.
  • In case of a “no-show” the total price of the reservation will be charged and is non-refundable.
  • There is only one way in which we can acknowledge cancellation of the guest’s reservation; the guest MUST send a cancellation request stating the reservation number via email to the following address: reservation@rigaapartment.com
  • All cancellations are confirmed via email immediately after the reservation has been cancelled.

Cancellation Policy for “Non-refundable rate”

  • The total reservation price will be charged right away after booking and is non-refundable.

NON-SMOKING Policy

In all our short stay rooms and apartments smoking is not allowed. A 100 euro fine will be deducted from security deposit if smoking is found in the room/apartment or in any of the building areas such as window ledges, the lift, stairs or the entrance hall. Please note that we comply with the local health and safety guidelines and recommendations provided by the EEC on smoking in public places.

Please Note

Immediate termination of the rental agreement is possible if:

  • Excessive noise or party is made in the evening hours or at night between 10PM and 8AM. All our guests are asked to respect the property and privacy of the neighbours.
  • Sub-letting the property, you have rented (or giving it to other people).
  • More guests stay in the property than agreed. The number of people residing in the apartment should be the same as confirmed in the booking. Accommodation for additional guests may be requested. A 10-euro charge for each additional guest per night will be charged. We reserve the right to cancel any reservation, without refund, if an unconfirmed number of people stay overnight in the room or apartment.
  • RIGAAPARTMENT does not allow any pets in the rooms or apartments. A 100-euro fine will be claimed if pets will be accommodated.

Damages

During your stay, the room/apartment and all equipment and furniture should be treated with care and kept in order. Immediate notification to RIGAAPARTMENT staff will be expected of any damages or breakages in the apartment. The Tenant is financially responsible for any damage to the room/apartment. This includes losses caused by The Tenant or a third party’s negligent actions and behaviour.

A detailed review of the condition of the apartment/room and all equipment and facilities will be made between 11AM and 3PM at check-out day, before another guest occupies the apartment.

The Tenant is responsible for any damages or breakages found that are over and above normal wear and tear and usage. In this case a detailed statement of damage along with an invoice for the repair or replacement cost will be sent by email immediately. Any costs will be covered from the security deposit pre-authorisation. Any costs will be claimed by return if they are greater than the security deposit amount.

Please note, immediate notification after check-in of any damages to, breakages in or issues with the room/apartment is expected. RIGAAPARTMENT can then take any necessary action to resolve any issues and make sure all the equipment and facilities are working and provided as expected.

Check-in & check-out time

Our standard check-in time is from 15:00, check-outs are till 11:00. All times are local. Departure after 11:00 is automatically considered as rent extension.

We will be glad to keep your travel bags in our luggage room if your flight or trip is after the check-out time

Important Information

Apartments are located in a residential building in Riga city centre, therefore all our guests are asked to respect the property and privacy of all the neighbours and keep noise to a minimum after 22:00.
